That Will Never Work, or Will It?

This catch proves everything, including the Monkey Wrench, has its place and time.

While we may have chuckled at the Banjo Minnow or the Helicopter Lure in the past, this catch reminds us that every tool, no matter how unusual, has its niche and can be effective.

Note the Dropper Loop rigging and the heavy weight.

Captain Midnight/David Yumori sent this photo from a Catalina Island trip aboard the Indian Sportfishing out of Redondo Beach, California. This angler reminds us that our lures are simply tools!

When targeting Rockfish at depths exceeding 300 feet, the unnamed angler demonstrated the value of an open mind by using a Craftsman size 14, a tool not typically associated with fishing, for this Bank Perch catch.

Remember, the key to successful fishing is not just having the right tools but also possessing the right mindset.
