So, You Like to Fish

While preparing for a road trip, a passerby makes a musing comment.

Troy Lindner and I are eagerly gearing up for an out-of-state fishing tournament. Tournament bass fishing is one of many targets on our road trips; trout, carp, and tiger musky stops are commonplace.

We're packing up the ride and getting ready to pick up the boat when an older gentleman casually walks by. He pauses momentarily, his eyes lingering on the back of the vehicle, then turns to me with a straight face and says, "So, you like to fish."
