As Southern California anglers, we love our lakes and reservoirs. Of course, these bodies of water supply our city infrastructure, and a multitude of recreational opportunities including excellent fishing. These holding tanks also facilitate another vital aspect to our communities.

Fire station crews are pumping water to firefighting helicopters from the Castaic lagoon.

A dedication to saving lives and property.

A Fire Attack chopper prepares.

The work is nonstop.

This chopper is loading water directly from Pyramid Lake.

On loan from Canada, this tanker is scooping water from upper Lake Castaic.

Topped off and heading back to it.

The lake you fish may not only save your property but your life.
